Importers of essential goods will be able to claim a full rebate on customs duty and VAT

APPLICABILITY PERIOD

From 1st April 2020

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA

Goods Imported must be on the list of included essential items

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

  • 12 months’ bank statement
  • Balance sheet
  • Income statements
  • Cash flow statements
  • Show the intended use of the resources
  • Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) registration
  • Valid tax clearance certificate
  • Proof of UIF registration for employees employed by the business
