SA Youth connects young people to work and employers to a pool of entry level talent.
Are you a work-seeker?
In Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the right to work is clearly declared. It encompasses free choice of employment, just and favorable conditions, and protection against unemployment. But do these rights truly manifest in people’s lives? If not, how can we bridge the gap between declaration and reality?
Our Chief Impact Officer, Sharmi Surianarain, recently engaged in a podcast discussion, “Beyond a Declaration – What Rights Can Do,” with Kgomotso Mufamadi, Lawyer and Head of Industrial and Employee Relations at BMW Group SA. Hosted by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, the conversation delves into the realities of work rights and contemplates actionable steps to transform these principles into tangible, lived experiences.
