Our Chief Operations Officer, Ureshni Morrison, spoke with SAFM’s Michelle Constant about initiatives supporting young female entrepreneurs and addressing broader youth employment challenges in South Africa.
Ureshni highlighted Harambee’s focus on nurturing women entrepreneurs by providing essential resources and mentorship and emphasised the importance of balancing sustainability with scaling to meet the needs of South Africa’s growing population. She also noted the value of peer-led support groups and work-integrated learning programmes to help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge learned through education, and practical application required for success in the workplace.
