Kasthuri Soni

Group Finance Director & Incoming CEO

Kasthuri Soni is Group Finance Director and Board Member of Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator. Effective January 2022, she will become Harambee’s next Chief Executive Officer. Kasthuri spent 10 years as a chartered accountant at Deloitte, where she focused on audit and advisory services to social investment and development initiatives. She then became CEO of The Soul City Institute, one of South Africa’s largest health and development NGOs, focused on health promotion and social change communication. Kasthuri is a non-executive director of the Open Society Institute and has held prior governance roles in the social sector including as a former member of the South African Global Fund Country Co-ordinating Mechanism & Oversight Committee. She obtained her degree in Accounting (Honours) from the University of South Africa.
