Full Stack Software Developer – Cape Town


Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator has formed a best practice digital centre, called Digilink, based in Cape Town. Digilink offers unemployed youth the opportunity to upskill in the digital careers including software testing, software development and data analytics via an intensive and focused training programme. These candidates are provided opportunities to work with partner companies to practically apply these newly acquired skills in the real world.

The Digilink team are looking for a Software Developer who will work with the Digilink Development Lead, as well as the delivery teams, to ensure that all elements of client requirements are translated into executional delivery processes. These need to deliver exceptional output and support against these requirements on time and within budget. The candidate should have the relevant/detailed technical experience to assist with all delivery and execution aspects in the Digilink Centre. All Harambee team members are required to adopt a flexible approach to their roles as we are a rapidly evolving. While key responsibilities of the role are outlined below, Harambee reserves the right to change and/or expand on these responsibilities as the organisation evolves and as the employee grows.


Cape Town


  • Minimum of 3 years development experience as a full stack Python/Java developer
  • Experience in front-end technologies, frameworks, and libraries in ASP.net, MVC 4/5, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Angular10, AngularJS, ReactJS, Bootstrap would be advantageous
  • Experience in working with SQL databases (relational and non-relational)
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD (creation of build and release pipelines)
  • Essential experience in Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio. Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, Power BI tools would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a SCRUM environment
  • Experience working with an APLM tool e.g. JIRA
  • Good understanding of SOLID principles in object-oriented & SOA design
